Mohamed Ihattaren, Fortuna Sittard's talented midfielder, has been enjoying an outstanding season. However, his future remains uncertain after no club has shown any interest in signing him this summer. Joris Mathijsen, the technical director of Fortuna Sittard, stated: 'No clubs have contacted us. Mo is currently fully focused with us and his intention is to make a transfer if possible.'
Ihattaren himself expressed optimism about staying within Dutch football during an interview with Goedemorgen Eredivisie. He mentioned that the transfer fee is set at three million euros, but Fortuna would not be difficult to deal with if a club offered less. 'I don’t know exactly what they have in mind,' he said. 'I came for nothing, so they won't make it difficult for a small difference.'
The technical director expressed hope that Ihattaren could join Feyenoord: 'I have everything here. I know I can do more and I am fit enough to play my game. There is still plenty left in me. I only had my first full year since long ago, as I only started playing for RKC in December last year.' He added that he would continue his training regimen, including a vacation period followed by a fitness schedule created by Team Raiola.

Ihattaren named Feyenoord as his dream club. Danny Buijs, the Fortuna Sittard trainer, said: 'If those last 15 percent improve and you train all summer long, then you can be a reinforcement for Feyenoord. Mo is involved in 20 goals with Fortuna, so he could also play there.'
Ali Boussaboun of RTV Rijnmond suggested that Feyenoord might indeed be interested: 'I think it’s possible. I don’t know why not. You can see the steps he has made since joining RKC Waalwijk. His passing is in a different category. Ihattaren sees things other players do not, and he is faster on the ball than Hadj Moussa.'
The former footballer also provided some inside information: 'I spoke to him recently because he called me. We discussed the Middle East, but he chose not to go there. He consciously decided to play for RKC Waalwijk instead.'
